Rodney Helliwell has published a number of papers and books on a range of matters including the growth of tree seedlings under different conditions, the economics of woodland management, the management of uneven-aged woodlands.

This booklet attempts to provide some initial guidance to owners and of woodlands where the production of timber is not the main objective. It is aimed at Local Authorities, managers of woodlands around flats or houses, hospitals, offices, and universities, and individual landowners, including farmers.

Prices will be £3 for SWA members and £5 for non members (incl P&P).
