- 28 Aug 2021 - 29 Aug 2021
This year we will be focussing on biodiversity and the condition of our woodlands. Including the management and diversity of woodland ground flora, the benefits of assessing the condition of our woodlands and how to increase their resilience when faced with climate change and pests and disease.
Our keynote speaker this year is Keith Kirby.
Keith has had a long and impressive career helping to increase our knowledge and understanding of long-term woodland change, playing a key role in the advancement of our knowledge and understanding of ecology, forestry and woodland management, as well as influencing forestry policy. His particular interest in woodland ground flora, has culminated in his book ‘Woodland Flowers’.
In the afternoon we will be holding a range of workshops and demonstrations. The workshops will focus on health and well being, the future oak project, and managing close to nature. We will also be including a heritage craft demonstration live from the Green Wood Centre!
