Business Manager

Deb manages our Administration and Finance Team, who assist her in making the financial and administration functions of Small Woods run as smoothly as possible.

She has a background in IT and business management and worked for a large law firm for twelve years.


Management Accountant

Hugh Boyes - [email protected]

Hugh has worked for many years in charity finance and is here to help with financial management, control and reporting.

Now partly retired, Hugh volunteers with the National Trust and Herefordshire Wildlife Trust. Activities include walking and tennis, but mainly flying, paragliders, as often as the wind & weather will allow.

Favourite tree, a single oak situated in the open, just such an interesting shape.

Dawn Brazier

Dawn makes sure that the administration and finance framework at Small Woods runs smoothly. She is also responsible for the on-site commercial activities at the Green Wood Centre. 

Dawn has a long career in customer service management and an extensive knowledge of GDPR. She was previously employed by a worldwide electronics company, however with conservation, nature, and wildlife being close to her heart, she feels very lucky to have become part of the Small Woods family.

She absolutely loves owls, because they’re so beautiful, mysterious, and calm, she's also a big fan of donkeys and goats.

Administration Assistant

As administration assistant, Ann's work includes processing new and existing memberships and keeping our records up to date. She also looks after the admin side of our courses and events by sending out information to attendees and keeping an eye on how places are filling up. 

In her spare time she coaches athletics at her local club in the junior section, and is a track judge at competitions. She also likes pilates and photography.

Her favourite tree is a lilac as she loves the smell and colour.

 

Finance and Compliance Officer

Emyr Peregrine - [email protected]

Emyr is responsible for coordinating the claims process for projects.

He has a science and technology background and has spent 30 years working in the polymer industry in a variety of roles including managing large, multi-partner, UK and European Union funded projects. When not grappling with spread sheets he enjoys long distance cycling, geology and volunteering in woodland management. He is a chartered engineer with a BSc in Applied Chemistry and an MSc in Polymer Engineering. He also a degree in geosciences and is currently studying for a post graduate qualification in biological recording. Originally from Carmarthenshire, he is a fluent Welsh speaker.

IT Manager

Dave Cheetham

Dave has worked in IT for over 25 years. His previous roles were at Eversheds LLP and at Computercentre UK, where he was responsible for over 5000 users and over 800 servers, both virtual and physical, across 14 countries. He also owns a Land Rover 4x4 restoration and parts business.

Dave was once a shepherd in New Zealand where he had two dogs working on a 21,000-acre farm looking after 15,000 sheep 8,000 cattle and 1000 deer. 

He was born in Llanuwchllyn, North Wales, where he lived for 25 years. He loves hiking, walking and camping in his VW Camper. 

 

IT apprentice 

Ryan Hampton-Pidgeon - [email protected]

As an IT apprentice, Ryan is studying here at Small Woods. He has a lot of experience in IT, working in the IT department at Adams Grammar School for around two years, then going through a kickstart program with Telford and Wrekin Council. 

He is currently responsible for helping with first line IT support, helping Small Woods staff with any IT issues they might have.

His favourite tree is cherry.
