TYFU GYDA'N GILYDD

Fel rhan o’r gwaith o adfer Coed Taliesin, byddwn yn cwympo nifer fechan o’r coed pinwydd sy’n ymgodi uwchlaw’r safle.

Mae safle Coed Taliesin wedi’i ddynodi’n safle PAWS (planhigfa ar safle coetir hynafol), ac o’r herwydd byddwn yn dilyn amodau rheoli a luniwyd gan Coed Cadw er mwyn helpu i adfer nodweddion hynafol y coetir. Bydd a wnelo hyn yn bennaf ag adfer lefel y golau dan y canopi, rhyddhau’r is-dyfiant llydanddail a chynnig amodau a fydd yn galluogi planhigion y ddaear i ffynnu.

Bwriadwn gyflawni hyn trwy deneuo rhywfaint ar y coed conwydd trwchus sy’n creu cysgod. Dim ond nifer fechan o goed y byddwn yn cael gwared â nhw, oherwydd mae angen gwneud pethau’n raddol er mwyn diogelu’r amodau sy’n ffafriol i nodweddion y coetir hynafol. Byddwn yn dewis coed gwannach sy’n llai tueddol i lwyddo, gan adael i’r sbesimenau cryfach ffynnu. Yna, bydd y coed a fydd wedi’u cwympo yn cael eu torri ar y safle er mwyn darparu pren i wella’r coetir ar gyfer ein prosiectau coedwigaeth cymdeithasol, fel y gellir hwyluso mwy ar y sesiynau llesiant cymunedol a gynhaliwn yn rheolaidd yn y goedwig
