Boost winter wellbeing for free with online learning

10 Hyd 2022

With autumn well underway and winter not far behind, Coed Lleol are offering free online courses to people who have health needs to boost wellbeing and reduce isolation.

After a great response to bringing some of our outdoor activities online for participants during lockdown, we have developed a range of courses including herbal medicine, mindfulness and nature crafts (which includes a free craft pack for every participant). You can also opt for accreditation with Agored Cymru, which involves completion of a short workbook, which supports the course content. Sessions last 1 hour over a six-week period, with both lunchtime and evening slots available.

Local GP and course tutor Julia Wallond said, “after the pressures and isolation that many people endured during the pandemic, we are seeing that online learning at Coed Lleol is consistently contributing to the overall wellbeing of those that attend”.

Courses for 2022:

Environmental awareness (starts 12th October)

Introduction to herbal medicine (starts 20th October)

We are nature (starts 7th November)

Nature connection for wellbeing (starts 9th November)

The Outdoor Health and Green Infrastructure Project (National) and The Green Infrastructure Partnership project (South Wales – NPT, Swansea & Carmarthenshire) are funded through ENRaW (Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing) and HAF (Healthy and Active Fund).
