Naturefix - new films released!

28 Mawrth 2022

Following on from the release of Woodlands for Wellbeing, we are delighted to introduce the rest of a series of films made back in 2021 in collaboration with the Leader Rural Development Programme. Coed Lleol are working hard to widen our reach amongst the health sector and improve our ability to engage with our audiences through virtual, digital means.

The Naturefix for Health and Wellbeing cooperation project saw us bring together a partnership of organisations  to help health care providers who are interested in green social prescribing, explore the benefits. The aim was to pilot the development of new digital resources as a tool for sharing experience and learning, over geographical distance and in times of isolation or lockdown.

Using new methods and skills, we were able to develop professional digital resources, in partnership with other organisations, in particular the health sector. We then trialed these resources at online learning and skill share events, to engage woodland activity leaders and health professionals alike. This allowed the resources to be shared between different areas of Wales and beyond.

The project received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities - Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. The project worked in partnership to promote best practice across the whole of Wales, the rest of the UK and beyond, with Cynnal y Cardi (LEADER in Ceredigion), Cwm Taf Leader (Merthyr Tydfil) and Regenerate Neath Port Talbot (Leader in NPT) and new partners Green Care Finland (an outdoor nature-based social prescribing association in Finland).
