GROWING TOGETHER

Our Activity Leaders

Our leaders

Coed Lleol - Small Woods employ freelance outdoor health & wellbeing facilitators to deliver our programmes. We have a Wales-wide network from a variety of specialisms including bushcraft skills, foraging, nature ID, woodwork, woodland management, and many more.

Activity Leaders are experienced in working with people of all ages and abilities, and plan sessions to help support individual physical and mental wellbeing.

Alongside our outdoor groups, Activity Leaders also deliver Agored courses, online courses, and create videos for our YouTube Channel.

Minimum standards & further training

All Activity Leaders are skilled practitioners and are supported to reach Coed Lleol - Small Woods’ minimum standards.  These have been developed to build a stronger network of leaders whose qualifications and experience ensure trust between our organisation and the health professionals who refer to us.

We require our Activity Leaders to have, at a minimum, up to date certificates in the following:

Outdoor First Aid (16-hr)
Mental Health Awareness
Safeguarding children & vulnerable adults

You will also need to complete our Coed Lleol - Small Woods Best Practice online training & self-taught units.
We cover the cost of all the above training.
