This two-day course will help build the background knowledge needed to manage your woodland sustainably and work towards creating resilient, productive woods.

The tutor, Jim Waterson, has decades of experience as a woodland manager, taught Forestry and Forestry Products at university level and is an independent woodland advisor. The course will be tailored to individuals needs and participants are encouraged to bring and share details of woodlands they are familiar with.
The course is classroom-based at the Green Wood Centre with visits to varied local woodlands. This course will lead to accreditation at Level 3 with AIM*, subject to submission of a completed course workbook for marking and assessment.
